Role of the Delivery Driver

Our Delivery Drivers play a crucial role in our mission of delivering sandwiches to individuals in our community who are experiencing hunger or food insecurity. Your dedication is the cornerstone of this project's success. We sincerely appreciate your commitment to ensuring the safe handling and delivery of sandwiches. 

To meet food handling regulations and ensure the highest standards of safety and quality, we have outlined the following requirements:

• Sandwiches should consistently be transported in coolers equipped with multiple ice packs.
• Please proceed directly from collection points to the partner organization awaiting the delivery.
• Adhering to regulations, sandwiches and ingredients must not be left outside of a refrigerator for more than a total of 2 hours, starting from the time ingredients are purchased until the sandwiches are delivered to the partner organization. Drivers are required to head straight to the partner organization immediately after collecting sandwiches. It is assumed that both the ingredients and assembled sandwiches have already been exposed to room temperature conditions, beginning with the purchase of ingredients.
• Delivery drivers must ensure that sandwiches are transported in an insured vehicle.
